Suzanne has lived and worked in NYC for over 20 years. She originally received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering but then decided to switch tracks completely. She attended the Swedish Institute and graduated in 2002 as a licensed massage therapist.
Suzanne combines engineering and analytical thinking with her manual therapies, building on the holistic approach of treating pain in the body. Her work is a blend of the many Western and Eastern techniques she has learned over the years. She finds that this creates a truly effective and holistic experience. She is certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Geriatric Massage and is proficient in many massage modalities including Temporomandibular Joint (jaw) therapy. She is also a certified yoga instructor.
Suzanne graduated from massage therapy school right after the 9/11 attacks. She spent several months volunteering at Ground Zero which cemented the impact touch has on people, both externally and internally.
For three years, Suzanne traveled internationally to experience massage in different cultures. She studied Lomi Lomi in Hawaii, Thai massage in Thailand, Ayurveda in India, healing ceremonies in Indonesia and Sri Lanka and even had a massage tent on the shores of Mozambique. She brings this expansive experience to her work and life back in NYC, where her clients always welcome back her healing hands.
