Marketing and Operations Manager
Elizabeth is a born-and-raised Southerner who calls Nashville home. In 2011, she came to New York City working in hotel management. She fell under the spell of the concrete jungle and stayed.
In college, Elizabeth worked in the medical field doing management for a surgical group. She decided to try her hand in the hospitality industry and spent a few years in hotel operations. During those years, she spent her free time de-stressing through activities such as pilates, yoga, dance, and kickboxing. As a dancer and gymnast from the age of 3, this style of movement spoke to her. Elizabeth always enjoyed an active lifestyle as a means of personal growth and overall wellness.
Realizing that her passion for the health and wellness industry was greater than that of hotel management, Elizabeth came back to the medical field. Her experience in operating, marketing and event planning in both fields provided her with a diverse skill set. She firmly believes that patient care in the medical industry is synonymous with customer service in the hospitality industry. Her favorite part of both fields is her daily interaction with people and working to provide the best service possible. She is grateful for the learning opportunities and challenges associated with both fields.
In addition to spending the last 5 years overseeing and expanding physical medicine practices, she also teaches Pilates. It was her love of Pilates (and a shoulder tear that was fixed with physical therapy and Pilates) that fueled her desire to be part of ActiveCare. She loves the concept of Pilates-based rehab, particularly with a group whose holistic approach to care aligns with her belief that rigorous physical activity and a variety of movement forms helps to promote a life of longevity and balance.
